Gestational diabetes

1. Type-1 Diabetes :

Formerly it was called insulin dependent disease. Insulin is not made in the body of such patients at all. This type of diabetes is usually seen in people under 30 years of age (average age is 10-12 years). These patients have to take insulin injections to survive. Otherwise, the blood sugar rises very fast and in a short period of time, he becomes unconscious due to acid poisoning in the blood and dies. Acetone is found in the urine when senseless. Such patients are usually thin. Most of them have no genetic history.

2. Type-2 Diabetes :

In most cases, these patients are over 30 years of age. But nowadays patients under the age of 30 are available and this number is increasing day by day. Their body makes insulin but it is less than required or the effectiveness of insulin is less. Many times these two types of problems occur simultaneously. Such patients become obese as the effectiveness of insulin decreases. Most of these patients have a genetic history. They will not have ketosis like type-1 patients without insulin. That means they are not insulin dependent. In many cases they do not come to the doctor because they do not feel any physical problem. As a result, after many days without treatment, he faced various physical complications and later consulted a doctor. Many times it is possible to treat  type 2 patients by changing their diet and exercising regularly. If it is not possible to control the disease in this way, the medicine should be taken as per the advice of the doctor. After 15-20 years, many patients may need to be given permanent insulin like type-1 patients.

3. Miscellaneous Causes  based class:

Decreased insulin production due to genetics
Decreased effectiveness of insulin due to genetic factors
Various diseases of the pancreas
Excess of other hormones
Due to drugs and chemicals
Some infectious disorders
Complications of any other resistance
In other underdeveloped countries including Bangladesh, especially in warmer climates, a type of diabetes is seen with malnutrition. In the past, malnourished diabetic patients were classified as Malnutrition Related Diabetes Mellitus (MRDM) but now it is not prevalent. However, these include FCPD or pancreatic stones, which are classified as other causes of malnutrition.

4. Gestational Diabetes:

Maternal diabetes is often diagnosed during pregnancy. Again, there are no diabetes symptoms after childbirth. This type of perplexity is called gestational diabetes. Diabetes in pregnant women can be dangerous for everyone, including pregnant women, newborns, and newborns. In order to avoid the danger of diabetes during pregnancy, it is necessary to control it with insulin. Their delivery should be done in a hospital or clinic. All women during pregnancy, especially those at risk, such as hereditary, obese, older, etc., should be tested for diabetes. Such patients are more likely to develop diabetes later in life.

Known for diabetic women:

If diabetic women want to have children, they must consult a doctor before becoming pregnant. Insulin should be taken as per the advice of the doctor by eliminating food pills from 3-5 months ago. If HbA1c is around 6.5%, you can get pregnant subject to your doctor's permission. During pregnancy she should keep her blood sugar level below 5.0 m.mol / L with fasting with insulin and 7.0 m.mol / L after meals. Otherwise the child may have various physical problems starting from disability.
